Rosetta Stone

When you have sick kids, you are immediately required to learn a new language.

A language virtually indecipherable.

Where every word uttered is said with a whine.

Syllables are barely audible.

Consonants a mere mumble.

All expelled between hacking, vocal-box-shattering coughs.

This language is especially hard to learn when you are running on only a few hours of sleep each night,

Because you’re sharing your room with one of those cough-ridden offspring,

Because you don’t want her sister to wake up in the middle of night,

So instead you get to!

*sigh*

I sure hope this foreign-language course ends soon
